Bible Study

Our study of God’s Word is ongoing throughout the year.  Dedicated facilitators offer inspired and insightful studies for spiritual growth and biblical understanding and knowledge.  Childcare is available.  Both daytime and evening, church and home-based, classes are provided.

Activities and class instruction includes liturgical dance, acrylic and watercolor painting.  There are also opportunities for service as a photographer of special events and/or a design team member.

Mothers of Preschoolers

This program provides a God-centered, caring ministry, designed to nurture and encourage young mothers.  Come for fun surprises, refreshments, speakers, sharing, and creativity opportunities.  Fall and Spring sessions meet on Friday mornings for two and a half hours.

Mentoring

This program is a ministry designed for women who are willing to take time to share insights, listen, and offer friendship to other women in need of support and encouragement. Orientations are offered at start-up of annual Fall and Spring sessions. Nine month commitment required.  Women of all ages welcome.

BookClub

Meetings take place every 6-8 weeks for meaningful reflection and discussion of good literature from a Christian perspective.  New members warmly received.

Women’s Enrichment Ministry benefits from committed Prayer Team coverage for all programs and leaders.  Intercession for personal needs and teaching to enhance a woman’s prayer life are available.  The Prayer Room is open on Sunday mornings during  services, and by appointment.
Special Events

Our calendar includes an annual retreat designed to facilitate a deeper relationship with God & with one another, & for refreshment of body, mind & spirit.  Other enrichment opportunities include a Christmas Brunch & various topical seminars.  The Special Events Coordinator–in-training position is currently open.

Support Ministry

Also known as Bound to Be Set Free by God’s Design, combines a series of Bible-based classes, guest speakers and other activities for the purpose of helping women who are experiencing current problems and difficulties and/or unresolved hurts and issues from the past.

Dear Friend,

Women’s ministry at South Shores Church has had a long and blessed history of growing and supporting our church through prayer, special events, Bible studies’ and personal relationships.   We have exciting opportunities for you to explore as you serve the Lord with your gifts and talents.
